Wall surface with decorative plaster in raking light

Walls

A wall is a surface, not a colour.

Decorative plaster, lime plasters, microcement, mineral and metallic finishes and luxury wallcoverings. Each material reflects light differently and so changes the space.

Range

From almost even to outspokenly tactile.

Wall finishes can be arranged by how visible the surface is. At one end are mineral finishes that diffuse light and show hardly any movement; at the other, textile wallcoverings you recognise from a distance.

In most interiors a combination works: a calm register on the continuous surfaces, with one room or one wall in which the material is more emphatically present.

Light

Raking light makes or breaks a wall surface.

A wall lit at an angle shows its texture; a wall that receives diffuse light flattens out. That means the same finish can turn out completely differently in two rooms.

When choosing a material, we therefore look first at the window openings, the orientation and the position of artificial light — and only then at the sample.

Showroom

Materials have to be experienced.

Colour, texture and the feel of a material only come through when you see and touch a surface in person.
