Lime plaster is applied with a trowel in thin layers and can be polished to a surface with a soft sheen. The material responds to light: the wall changes through the day without changing colour.

A mineral wall finish with depth in the surface
Lime plaster is a mineral finish based on slaked lime and marble powder. Because the material is built up in layers and compressed, the surface gains a depth that paint cannot achieve.
The sheen is determined by the degree of polishing. A matte finish stays understated and absorbs light; a polished finish reflects and brings out the nuance in the surface.
The material is breathable, which makes it suitable for rooms with varying humidity, provided the substrate has been prepared for it.
