Vertical and panel blinds
For large windows and glass façades, vertical lengths of fabric often work better than a single fabric. Vertical blinds turn on their own axis; panel blinds slide past each other as flat panels.
Overview
Vertical lengths of fabric for large windows and façades
Vertical blinds hang from a rail and turn together. Half turned they let light and the view out through; turned closed they shut the window off. The rail can follow bay windows and sloping windows.
Panel blinds are straight, flat lengths of fabric that slide beside or behind each other in a rail. They give a calm, architectural look and can also divide two parts of a room.
Both come in many fabrics, from sheer to opaque, and can be operated by hand or electrically.
