Steel doors
Steel-framed doors
A steel-framed door combines a door with a frame of thin steel profiles and glass. It separates two rooms but lets light and sight through, so that a hallway, kitchen or study does not feel closed in.
Overview
Door and frame in steel and glass
The frame can consist of a door alone, or of a door with fixed side panels and a transom that together form a glass wall. The division with glazing bars determines how the surface reads: calm with few panes, or graphic with a fine grid.
The glass is chosen for the view that is wanted. Clear glass keeps the rooms visually connected; tinted or textured glass gives more privacy without taking away the light.
Every frame is made to the size of the opening. The junction with the floor and the wall is settled in advance, so that the steel sits tight against the finish around it.
