Microcement
floor · matte · mineral
A mineral finish with fine trowel marks. A light movement remains in the surface, in a single tone.

Floors
Microcement is a mineral finish applied in thin layers and set with a trowel. The surface keeps a light movement, so the floor looks less flat than a poured floor and comes closer to natural stone.
Overview
Microcement is built up in two to three thin layers on a reinforced substrate. Each layer is trowelled and sanded, after which a mineral or polymer sealant closes the surface.
The texture is created during trowelling. That makes the material less anonymous than a completely even floor: there is movement in the surface, in the same tone. How much movement remains visible is decided in advance on a sample.
Because the layers are so thin, microcement suits renovations in which the floor build-up must not increase, for example with existing door heights or an existing first stair.

Applications
Values are indicative. The final specification is determined per project, based on the situation on site, the intended use and the choices made.
